Important Information: I have provided a list of the various burgers we will be trying on our European Burger Tour Starring Northern Liberties, but first, let me give you a sneak peek into how Team Get Things Done gets things done.
What we like to do is order two (2) burgers. We get one regular style - lettuce, tomato, onions. The other one we get special. If the restaurant has a specialty burger, we get that. If not, we create our own, using any unique/special/tasty ingredients offered. For example, carmalized onions, jalapenos, fancy cheeses like gruyere, applewood smoked bacon, some kind of chipotle mayonaisse based sauce....mmmmmm...some kind of chipotle mayonaisse based sauce....
Sorry.
Anyway, we get these burgers medium rare if available, and then I (never Jimmy) cut them in half using a specially requested steak knife. Once the burgers are cut in half, we each take a half and eat it. Sometimes we both eat the specialty one first, sometimes we both eat the regular one first. Other times, we eat different ones first. No big deal. The important thing is that we are eating burgers, and then grading them based on taste and mouthfeel.
Without further ado, the list of burger places*:
North 3rd
Abbaye Bar
Standard Tap
Silk City
Johnny Brenda's
PYT
Memphis Taproom

Update: I have been informed that our list of Top 10 Things on a Burger went over the limit of 10 things. I am not sure how much it went over by, because I don't have time to count, but rest assured - whatever number it was over by, it will now be over by one more than that, because I am adding pickles to the list. Pickles!
Announcement: Rob & Jimmy will be going on an exciting European Burger Tour, starring Northern Liberties!
Our burger tour will be different than burger tours of the past. For one thing, this is a European burger tour. Also, it will be starring Northern Liberties.
We have created a unique and highly specific chart to rate the various burgers we eat.
On a scale of 1-10, we will be grading 'Taste' and 'Mouthfeel.'
For the n00bs, 'taste' is the way it tastes, in your mouth. 'Mouthfeel' is a bit more complicated. It is basically the way it feels, in your mouth.
Let the madness begin!
